OLDS Program

In 1998, the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors, as well as other municipalities in the Commonwealth were required by the Department of Environmental Protection to enact ordinances relating to ACT 537, the PA Sewage Facilities Act. Implementing sewage management programs will prevent water pollution and hazards to public health caused by improper disposal of sewage.

Section 110-75 of Antrim Township Code of Ordinances outlines periodic maintenance required by law for all on-lot septic systems in Antrim Township. The Township has been divided into three districts. Owners of on-lot septic systems in each district are responsible for having their tanks pumped and inspected once every three years after the initial pumping.

The Antrim Township administrative office will continue to license approved septic haulers.
