Park News Item: Updated 2/9/09

Antrim Township is constructing Phases 3, 4, and 5 of the Antrim Township Community Park. These phases will include five Soft Ball/Little League fields, one multi-use field, additional paved trails, a pavilion, tennis courts, and basket ball courts.

A site plan for the Park including the improvements now under construction can be viewed at this link: Park Overview Plan.

Please stay out of the construction areas when you are visiting the Park. Thank you.

Antrim Township recognizes the key role recreation areas play in the health and welfare of a community. We are fortunate to have three township parks in Antrim, the Antrim Township Community Park, Martins Mill Bridge Park (adjacent to the community park) and Enoch Brown Park.

Antrim Township has much local history relating to the areas including and surrounding our Parks. Please visit the following links for narratives describing the importance and history of local sites along the Conococheague Creek and an account of an indian kidnapping of the McCullough boys that occurred just west of Martin's Mill Bridge. These narratives have been reproduced here with permission from and special thanks to the authors and the Mercersburg Historical Society.
